Police Investigate Home Invasion (Taylortowne)

New Castle County Police are on scene actively investigating a home invasion that occurred in the community of Taylortowne.

(Newark, Del. – 19702) Earlier today at about 6:10a.m., patrol officers responded to the unit block of Gogh Cir in reference to a shooting.  Upon arrival, police located the 44-year-old male victim suffering apparent gunshot wounds.  The victim stated two suspects entered his residence and stole items, shooting him in the process.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

During the course of processing the scene, detectives encountered suspected explosive materials. The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team responded and ensured the scene was not a threat to the community and safe for further processing.
