County Police Detectives are actively investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in the community of Cleland Heights.
Wilmington, Del. – 19805) On Monday (October 17) at about 9:20 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Clayton Road in reference to a carjacking. Upon arrival, police learned that two suspects, one armed with a handgun, confronted the victim and demanded his vehicle, money and jewelry. The victim was outside his vehicle at the time of the carjacking and was not injured.
The suspect with the handgun was described as a 5’8” tall black male wearing dark clothing. The other suspect was described as a 5’10” tall black male wearing dark clothing.
The stolen vehicle is a 2011 silver Hyundai Genesis with Pennsylvania registration plates.
Detectives have assumed the investigation.
