Police Investigate Home Invasion

New Castle County Police are actively investigating a home invasion in the community of Eastlawn.

(Wilmington, Del. – 19802) On Monday (October 18) at about 4:30a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of North Spruce St. in reference to a home invasion.  Upon arrival, police learned that the two victims, one 60-years-old and one 76-years-old, were awoken by four males brandishing handguns and demanding property.  The suspects assaulted the victims prior to stealing property and fleeing with the victims’ vehicle.

One victim was treated on the scene for injuries; the other was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was later released.

Detectives responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 1997 red Jeep Cherokee with Delaware registration plates (similar vehicle pictured below).
