Police Investigate Shooting

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the community of Dunleith.

(Wilmington, Del. – 19801) On Monday (October 18) at about 10:15p.m., police were called to an area hospital in reference to a shooting victim that had just arrived via personal vehicle.  Upon arrival, police contacted the victim and learned that the victim was confronted by a suspect in the area of Surrate Park at approximately 10:00p.m. that night.  The victim advised that the suspect attempted to rob him, at which time he fled and was subsequently shot.  He was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
