The New Castle County Police are currently searching for Rosa Russell, a 78-year-old woman missing from the unit block of West Weatherly Road in New Castle.

(New Castle, Del.-19720) The New Castle County Police responded to the unit block of West Weatherly Road for the report of a missing person.  Officers contacted Rosa’s family and learned she was last seen earlier today (10/24) at approximately 6:00 p.m.

The investigation revealed Rosa knocked on a neighbor’s door and requested a ride to Philadelphia.  After her request was denied, Rosa left the area on foot and was last seen walking on West Weatherly Road.

Rosa recently moved to the area and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Rosa Russell is described as an African-American woman, 5’6’’ tall, weighing approximately 125lbs, with light brown hair, and dark brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a red shirt, black jeans, a green jacket and white sneakers.
