New Castle County Police are currently searching for Thelma Welch, 76, who went missing from her home in the community of Harbor Club Apartments early this morning.
(Newark, Del.- 19713) This morning at about 2:30a.m., County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Cheswold Blvd in reference to a missing person. Upon arrival, officers spoke with family members of 76-year-oldThelma Welch who advised that she was last seen at her residence at 4:00p.m. yesterday (October 24) and discovered missing at about 1:00a.m. this morning. They advised that she has health conditions which cause a concern for her welfare.
Thelma Welch is described as a white female, 5’03” tall, 165lbs, and was last seen wearing a purple sweater. She utilizes a walker to get around.
Police searched the area for Thelma Welch, but were unable to locate her. Police believe she may utilize public transportation.
