New Castle County Police have arrested 32-year-old Joseph Kriger in connection with an incident that occurred in the community of Four Seasons.

(Newark, Del.- 19702) On Wednesday (October 26) at approximately 4:50p.m., County Police responded to the area of East Edgewater Wy and Clipper Ct in reference to an attempted kidnapping that had just occurred.  Upon arrival, officers conducted interviews and were able to determine that a suspect, later identified as Joseph Kriger, attempted to abduct two pre-teen children as they played in the neighborhood.  The suspect, who was operating a vehicle, did not come in physical contact with the victims.

Detectives assumed the investigation and obtained a warrant for Joseph Kriger’s arrest.  On Thursday (October 27), officers responded to Joseph Kriger’s residence in the unit block of Harkfort Rd and arrested him without incident.

Kriger charged with two counts of attempted second-degree kidnapping.  He was arranged and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $50,000 cash-only bail.  He was issued a no contact order with anyone under 18-years-old.
