Police Search for Missing New Castle Man- Gold Alert Issued

New Castle County Police are currently searching for 18-year-old Zachary Rumpf missing from his Ivy Ridge home.

(New Castle, Del. – 19720) Today at about 11:30a.m., County Police responded to the unit block of Ivy Ln in reference to a missing person.  Upon arrival, officers made contact with family members of Zachary Rumpf.  The family advised that at about 11:00a.m., Zachary Rumpf left the residence and sent text messages which caused a concern for his welfare. Police searched the area for Zachary Rumpf but were unable to locate him.

Zachary Rumpf is a white male, 6’0” tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black sweatpants.  He may be operating a 2005 dark green 4-door Ford Explorer- Delaware Registration PC203544.  The vehicle is further described as having rust damage on the right front quarter panel.
