The New Castle County Police are currently searching for the person(s) involved in the occupied night-time burglary to a home in the unit block of Haileys Trail in Newark.
(Newark, Del.-19711) On Thursday (11/10) officers responded to a home in the community of North Star for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers learned the unknown suspect(s) entered the home through an unsecured rear door and removed phones, electronics, an undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards.
As officers continued to investigate this incident, leads were developed which directed officers to a Walmart in Wilmington and a Wawa in Media, PA. Surveillance footage was obtained and detectives were able to capture still photographs of the suspects observed using the stolen credit cards.
Additional units responded to the North Star neighborhood and took additional reports for thefts from motor vehicles and the theft of a vehicle. Victims were located in the following areas:
Unit block of Meteor Lane
Two vehicles in the unit block of Polaris Drive
Unit block of Nob Hill
Two vehicles in the unit block of Hailey’s Trail
Three vehicles in the unit block of Nob Hill
