Drug Investigation Yields Heroin Seizure

New Castle County Police have arrested 33-year-old Lisa “Bootsie” Long for drug related charges in the community of Kimberton.

(Newark, Del. – 19713) During the month of December, Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) officers received information regarding a female selling heroin in the Kimberton area.  Through the investigation, MET officers were able to identify the suspected heroin dealer as Lisa “Bootsie” Long.  On December 14, MET officers established surveillance on Lisa “Bootsie” Long and subsequently arrested her when she left her residence.  Lisa “Bootsie” Long was found to be in possession of 650 bags of heroin, with an estimated street value of $1,500.   During a search of her residence, in the unit block of Kimberton Drive, MET officers located an additional 18 bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia.  There was also a child in the residence.

Lisa “Bootsie” Long was charged with possession of heroin in a Tier-5 quantity, possession with intent to distribute heroin in a Tier-4 quantity, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was arraigned and committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution after failing to post $41,200 cash only bail.
