New Castle County Police are currently on scene and actively investigating a shooting that occurred in the community of Garfield Park.

(New Castle, Del. – 19720) This evening (Dec. 27) at about 7:45p.m., County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Karlyn Dr in the community of Garfield Park for a shots fired call.  Upon arrival, patrol officers located a male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to an area hospital.

Detectives are on scene and have assumed the investigation.
