New Castle County Police continue to investigate the shooting in the community of Garfield Park which left one man dead.
Yesterday (Dec. 27) at about 7:45p.m., County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Karlyn Dr in the community of Garfield Park for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, patrol officers located 53-year-old Lonnie M. Dixon suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide.
