NCCPD Issues “Gold Alert” for Missing Claymont Woman-CANCELLED

The New Castle County Police has issued a “Gold Alert” for Huguette Adams, 85, from the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Claymont.

(Claymont, Del.-19703) On Monday (Mar 13) the New Castle County Police responded to the Harbor House Apartments for a missing person report. Huguette’s roommate called and stated Huguette spoke to her sister in France yesterday and requested to go to a travel agency. Huguette stated, if the roommate failed to take her, she would find someone else to take her.

After the conversation with her sister, Huguette appeared to be very confused and mentioned she was going to France.  Huguette was restless throughout the night and into the early morning hours.  Once the roommate fell asleep, he believes Huguette left their apartment.  He then searched for her vehicle and found it missing from the parking lot.

A witness reported seeing Huguette early this morning at which time she stated she was driving to France.

Huguette suffers from Dementia and is described as a Caucasian woman, 5’3’’tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs. with brown eyes and gray and brown hair.  She was last seen wearing jeans, a dark purple sweater possibly with a red striped shirt underneath and a black purse.  She drives a red Ford Focus with Delaware registration 722873.
