New Castle County Police have arrested 31-year-old Brandon “Bam” Gibson for weapon and drug offenses in the community of Hamilton Park.
(New Castle, Del.- 19720) On Wednesday (Mar 22) at about 10:45 a.m., County Police Safe Streets detectives were conducting a warrant sweep in the area of Hamilton Park and looking for Brandon “Bam” Gibson. Detectives located Brandon “Bam” Gibson walking in the community. When they attempted to arrest him, he fled on foot through yards on South St, ultimately entering a residence in the unit block of South St.
Police located a bag containing 984 ecstasy pills and a handgun, which was later found to be stolen, loaded with six rounds of ammunition in the area that Brandon “Bam” Gibson fled. Police surrounded the residence on South St and obtained a search warrant.
Police made entry and arrested Brandon “Bam” Gibson without further incident. During a search of the residence, police located another handgun, which had an obliterated serial number, loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
Brandon “Bam” Gibson, of the unit block of Center St, was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver ecstasy in a Tier-4 quantity, possession of ecstasy in a Tier-5 quantity, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited due to a previous felony conviction, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited- possessing a firearm and drugs at the same time, two counts of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, receiving a stolen firearm and resisting arrest. He was processed on his outstanding warrants, arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $138,140 secured, $600 cash and $1,000 unsecured bail.
