New Castle County Police have arrested 27-year-old Takeerah Britton and 24-year-old Anshawn Griffon for the Tuesday night (October 17) shooting of a 15-year-old in the community of Burn Brae.

(New Castle, De-19720) Tuesday (October 17) at approximately 9:30 p.m., County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Highland Blvd for the report of a shooting.  Police learned that a 15-year-old male had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Through the investigation, Major Crimes Detectives along with Patrol Officers developed 27-year-old Takeerah Britton and 24-year-old Anshawn Griffon as suspects.  As the investigation continued, arrest warrants for both suspects were obtained and both were taken into custody.

Takeerah Britton was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree conspiracy. Takeerah Britton was arraigned and committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution after failing to post a $21,000 secured bail.

Anshawn Griffon was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree assault, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.  Anshawn Griffon was arraigned and committed to Howard Young after failing to post a $111,000 cash-only bail.
