New Castle County Police are investigating a crash that occurred on Boxwood Road earlier this morning.

(Wilmington, Del-19804) Today(November 3) at 6:45 a.m., patrol units were dispatched to Boxwood Rd at the intersection of Ahlers Blvd for a motor vehicle crash. Officers learned that a maroon Mazda, driven by a 19-year-old female, had crashed in to a school bus that was stopped along the side of Boxwood Rd. The bus was occupied by a 47-year-old male driver.

The driver of the school bus was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The female driver of the Mazda was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  It has been determined that alcohol was a factor in this accident.
