POLICE MAKE DRUG AND WEAPONS ARREST DURING A VEHICLE STOP

(Wilmington, De 19805) Last Wednesday (Oct 17) at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team were patrolling in the community of Alban Park.  While in the area of Robinson Lane the officers observed a gray Chevrolet Impala being operated without its headlights on.

The officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver, 19-year-old Myles Stevenson was found to be in possession of marijuana.  The front passenger of the vehicle, 19-year-old Kadeem Sadler, was also found to be in possession of marijuana.  The rear passenger, 20-year-old Dustin Dale, then attempted to run from the officers but was quickly apprehended.  During the struggle, a .45 caliber, 1911 styled handgun was located in Dustin Dale ’s waistband.

All three subjects were taken back to New Castle County Division of Police Headquarters and arrested. At headquarters, it was discovered that Myles Stevenson was also in possession of crack cocaine.

Myles Stevenson was charged with misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine), misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, No Proof of Insurance, Windshield Violation (Safety Glass) and Failure to Have Lights on When Required.  He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $3000 cash-only bail.

Kadeem Sadler was charged with misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and released on his own recognizance.

Dustin Dale was charged with felony Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Firearm), felony Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited, misdemeanor Resisting Arrest, and misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $31,500 cash-only bail.
