UPDATE WITH ARREST: SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY ID’S BURGLARY SUSPECT

Detectives arrest burglary suspect who was identified by our social media community.

(New Castle, DE 19720) Last Wednesday, (Sept 4) the New Castle County Division of Police posted photos of an unknown subject responsible for numerous burglaries in the communities of Nonantum Mills, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas.

Shortly after the social media posting went out, the subject in the photo was identified members of our social media community.

On Friday, (Sept 6) detectives from the New Castle County Police were able to conclude their investigation and effect the arrest of 33-year-old Jonathon Gaston.

Jonathon Gaston was charged with:  one count of felony Burglary 2nd degree, two counts of felony Burglary 3rd degree, two counts of felony attempted Burglary 3rd degree, three counts of Theft misdemeanor, two counts of attempted Theft misdemeanor, one count of misdemeanor Unlawful Use of  Payment Card, one count of misdemeanor attempted Unlawful Use of a Payment Card and two counts of misdemeanor Criminal Trespass 3rd degree.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
