(Bear, DE 19701) Earlier today, (Mar 21) at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to North Huckleberry Ave, in the community of Waterford Trailer Park, for a report of a domestic-related shooting.  When the officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower torso.

After the victim was transported by a Delaware State Police helicopter to a local area hospital for treatment.

Officers were able to take one person into custody and detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police arrived on scene and assumed the investigation.
