INVESTIGATION UPDATE: POLICE IDENTIFY HOMICIDE VICTIMS FROM DOUBLE HOMICIDE IN KNOLLWOOD
(Claymont, DE 19703) Wednesday night (July 14) at 9:40 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of Balfour Ave, in the community of Knollwood for a report of a shooting that had just occurred.
When the patrol officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two males and a female all suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency first aid was provided by the officers and EMS personnel. However, the two males identified as 27-year-old Nathan Smith and 16-year-old Jasir Brown, were pronounced dead at a local area hospital.
The 19-year-old female was treated and released with a gunshot wound to her arm. A fourth victim has been admitted to a local area hospital and is listed in serious condition.
