WILMINGTON MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUG AND FIREARM CHARGES – RAYMOND JACKSON (38)

(Wilmington, DE 19805) During the month of August, Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) investigated illegal drug activity involving the sale of crack cocaine in New Castle County.

On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Officers observed 38-year-old Raymond Jackson of Wilmington conducting illegal drug sales from a vehicle located near the 1800 block of Conrad Street.  A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded .22 cal. handgun with an obliterated serial number, a loaded 9mm handgun, ammunition, 8.17 grams of crack cocaine, 381.12 grams of marijuana, amphetamines, oxycodone, alprazolam, and illegal drug packaging.

Raymond Jackson was charged with:

Possession of a Firearm Within 10 Years of Prior Conviction of Any Felony

Possession of a Weapon with a Removed, Obliterated or Altered Serial Number

Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited Who Also Possesses a Controlled Substance

Manufacture/Deliver/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance

Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity

Possess a Controlled Substance

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $277,000.00 cash bail.
