(Middletown, Del.-19709) The New Castle County Division of Police are currently investigating a shooting in the 900 block of Lissicasey Loop in Hyetts Crossing.
On Wednesday (9/13) at approximately 11:40 a.m. officers were initially dispatched to an assault with a weapon to a home in Hyetts Crossing. Officers arrived on scene and determined the 39-year-old male victim had been shot and sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was transported to Christiana Medical Center.
Detectives have been called to the scene and further details will be provided as they become available. This is still and active investigation and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to please contact the Criminal Investigations Unit.
