WILMINGTON MAN ARRESTED FOR GUN AND DRUG CHARGES IN HOLLY OAK

(Wilmington, DE 19808) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team have arrested 42-year-old Alfred Williams of Wilmington in reference to multiple felony charges. During the month of August, officers followed up on information in reference to a male suspect selling crack-cocaine in the Holly Oak community. Officers were able to identify the suspect as Alfred Williams. Following a lengthy investigation, Williams was taken into custody on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, without incident. Upon being taken into custody, Williams was found to be in possession of 24.67 grams of crack cocaine, suboxone strips, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a loaded .38 special handgun.

Officers then executed a search warrant at his apartment in Holly Oak apartments and recovered 59.01 grams of phencyclidine (PCP), and various prescription pills.

Alfred Williams was transported to New Castle County Police headquarters and charged with: One felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity. One felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity Two felony counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. One felony count of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity. Two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity. One felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Two misdemeanor counts of possession of a prescription drug without a script. One misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use.

He was arraigned by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and held in lieu of $216,300.00 cash bail.
