(Wilmington, DE 19805) Patrol Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 58-year-old Michael McKamey of Newark following an investigation into package thefts. Last week, officers responded to the communities of Bellemoor and Maryland Park Apartments in reference to separate theft investigations. Officers were provided with surveillance footage from a doorbell camera and were quickly able to identify the suspect as Michael McKamey. On November 24, 2023, officers took McKamey into custody without incident. He was charged with with two misdemeanor counts of theft under $1,500 and two misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass in the third degree. He was arraigned by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and held in lieu of his charges and additional violations.
