The New Castle County Division of Police has seen an increase in scam calls using our non-emergency number (302-573-2800). The scammers are requesting money in lieu of “missed court” or “missed jury duty”.
While the incoming calls are showing our non-emergency number, it is not legitimate! If you receive a call like this, do not give any personal information and do not send any money!
If you receive a phone call or have received a phone call, you can contact the New Castle County Division of Police via the non-emergency number, (302) 573-2800, or your local police agency, to make a report.
