(New Castle, DE. 19720) On Monday, June 24, 2024, at 2:43 p.m., the New Castle County Division of Police was dispatched to the 900 block of East Avenue regarding a report of a stolen Kia Sportage. As officers responded, the Mobile Enforcement Team Officers spotted the stolen vehicle and began following it into Collins Park. The car then stopped around Howell Drive, where the four occupants exited and attempted to escape. Officers from the Mobile Enforcement Team quickly apprehended three suspects near the stolen Kia, with the fourth suspect being arrested later as he emerged from the nearby woods.
All the teenage suspects were transported to New Castle County Police headquarters, where they all were charged with the following crimes.
- One felony count of theft of a motor vehicle.
- One felony count of receiving stolen property over $1500.
- One felony count of conspiracy second-degree
- One felony count of burglary third-degree
- One misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
The 15-year-old male from New Castle was arraigned at the Justice of Peace 11 and released on $9,500 unsecured bail.

The 14-year-old male from New Castle was arraigned at the Justice of Peace 11 and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
The 12-year-old male from New Castle was arraigned at the Justice of Peace 11 and released on his own recognizance.
