(Wilmington, DE. 19809) Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 30-year-old Gabriel Rosario with multiple counts of sexual assault following an investigation into a case reported in January 2024 in the Edgemoor Gardens community.
Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and discovered that in April 2023, Gabriel Rosario, who was acquainted with the victim, created a fake social media account to contact the victim. During these interactions, Rosario coerced the victim into sending explicit photos and pressured them into engaging in intercourse by sending threatening messages.
On Thursday, February 13, 2025, with the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police and the U.S. Marshals Service. Gabriel Rosario was located in Landisville, PA, and taken into custody on an out-of-state fugitive warrant. He is currently awaiting extradition to Delaware, where he will be charged for the following crimes.
- Six felony counts of Sexual extortion.
- Five felony counts of Dangerous crimes against a minor under 14 years old.
- Five felony counts of Rape first-degree.
- Five felony counts of Sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust first degree.
- Four felony counts of Unlawful sexual contact second degree.
- One felony count of Rape second degree.
Gabriel Rosario was arraigned in Pennsylvania and committed to the Lancaster County prison after failing to pay $500,000 bail.
