(Wilmington, DE. 19802) On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Active Crime Trends Team were conducting proactive patrol in the Edgemoor area when they observed a white Nissan Altima commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was initiated on Northeast Boulevard at East 27th Street, where the driver, a 47-year-old Harice Reddick from Philadelphia, PA, was identified as the sole occupant of the vehicle.
During their traffic stop with Reddick, Detectives recovered a loaded Ruger 57 (5.7 caliber) handgun with a 20-round magazine, a doctor’s prescription pad, a stamp used to forge the doctor’s signature, prepackaged bags of marijuana, and additional concealed deadly weapons and ammunition.
Harice Reddick was transported to the New Castle County Police Headquarters, where he was charged with the following offenses:
- Two felony counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon
- One felony count of possession of a large capacity magazine during the commission of a felony
- One felony count of possession of a large capacity magazine
- One felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
- One felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- One felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, a firearm
- One felony count of forgery second degree
- One felony count of possession of a blank prescription form
- One misdemeanor count of possession of a prescription drug, not a controlled substance
- One misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia
- One traffic violation of the operation of an unregistered motor vehicle
- One traffic violation of failing to remain within a single lane
Harice Reddick was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $48,202.00 cash bail.
