SRC dispatched EMS and also coordinated with the apartment complex’s maintenance to gain entry. Responding officers stated that the SRC member was disoriented and suffered a medical episode. She was assisted by responding personnel and transported to a local hospital where she remains in stable condition.
Since its launch in 1995, the Senior Roll Call Lifeline has played a vital role in saving lives. It often assists individuals who have experienced serious injuries or health issues that have left them unable to seek help. The Senior Roll Call Lifeline is a complimentary service offered by the New Castle County Police, which calls its members’ homes daily to check on their well-being and ensure they do not require emergency assistance. If multiple attempts to reach someone are unsuccessful, help is dispatched to their home for a well-being check.
The program is FREE to all senior citizens or disabled residents of New Castle County.
