🛑 ATV & OHV Safety Alert 🛑

🌞As the weather warms up, we see an increase in ATV and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) activity. Please remember — Delaware law regulates the use of OHVs/ATVs, and we want to keep everyone safe and informed!

Here’s what you need to know:

⚠️ ATVs and OHVs are designed for off-road use only. Riding them on public roads is dangerous and illegal.

📊According to Injury Prevention research, over 60% of ATV-related deaths occur on public roads.

🔹Operating Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) or All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) is prohibited on:

•Public roadways

•Sidewalks

•Private property without the property owner’s consent

•Rights-of-way throughout the state of Delaware

•Special events are the only exception, but they must have permits issued by the appropriate government agency with jurisdiction over the area.

🚨 Violations can lead to:

• Fines up to $1,000

• Tickets and towing

• Impoundment for up to 6 months — at your expense
