๐ŸŒžAs the weather warms up, we see an increase in ATV and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) activity. Please remember โ€” Delaware law regulates the use of OHVs/ATVs, and we want to keep everyone safe and informed!

Hereโ€™s what you need to know:

โš ๏ธ ATVs and OHVs are designed for off-road use only. Riding them on public roads is dangerous and illegal.

๐Ÿ“ŠAccording to Injury Prevention research, over 60% of ATV-related deaths occur on public roads.

๐Ÿ”นOperating Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) or All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) is prohibited on:

โ€ขPublic roadways

โ€ขSidewalks

โ€ขPrivate property without the property owner’s consent

โ€ขRights-of-way throughout the state of Delaware

โ€ขSpecial events are the only exception, but they must have permits issued by the appropriate government agency with jurisdiction over the area.

๐Ÿšจ Violations can lead to:

โ€ข Fines up to $1,000

โ€ข Tickets and towing

โ€ข Impoundment for up to 6 months โ€” at your expense
