Multiple Thefts From Motor Vehicles, Police Arrest One

New Castle County Police have arrested 32 year-old Emanual Carr for multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the community of Llangollen Estates.

(New Castle, Del. 19720) Friday (May 25) at 4:54 a.m., New Castle County patrol officers were dispatched to the community of Llangollen Estates in reference to the report of a male subject checking car door handles. When officers arrived on scene to conduct a search in the unit block of Hodgkins Place, they observed a black male running away from them. Police learned that (6) vehicles throughout the community were reported to be broken into.

Officers were able to locate surveillance video of the suspect and he was positively identified by police as Emanual Carr of the 500 block of South DuPont Highway. Patrol officers responded to his residence where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Emanual Carr was charged with (9) counts of misdemeanor attempted theft, (1) count of felony attempted theft and (6) counts of felony burglary. He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $14,750.00 secured and $5,100.00 cash bonds. Carr was issued a not contact order.

UPDATE TO HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION- KIAMENSI ROAD

New Castle County Police are actively investigating an apparent Homicide that occurred on Kiamensi Rd in the area of the Glen Burnie Estates.

New Castle County Police have identified the victims as 30-year-old Isabel Cooper and 34-year –old Thessalonias Berry.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Homicide Squad have also confirmed that the victim Isabel Cooper was in fact 7 months pregnant and the fetus was also deceased.

(Wilmington, 19804)Earlier this morning (May 24), New Castle County Police were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the intersection of Kiamensi Rd @ Rothwell Dr. When the units arrived, they discovered two injured subjects inside of the vehicle.  Both of the subjects had apparent gunshot wounds and were later pronounced deceased by New Castle County Paramedics.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Homicide Squad arrived on scene and assumed the investigation.  This is currently an ongoing and active investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.
