A candlelight vigil honoring Cpl/1 Snook will be held this evening at the Glasgow Park Barn (Rt. 40/Route 896), beginning at 6:00 PM.

Motorists should expect increased vehicle traffic in and around Glasgow Park, with pedestrian traffic occurring within the park before and after the vigil. Traffic control will be in place, with personnel on site providing guidance for parking. The main parking lot in front of the Frazier House will be open for general parking, with overflow parking available at the dog park and other lots throughout the park.

Parking is limited, and carpooling is encouraged when possible. Delays are expected. Please follow posted signage, use designated crosswalks within the park, proceed with caution, and plan accordingly when traveling through the area.

✅ UPDATE: As of 11:45 a.m., Kirkwood Highway at Delaware Park Drive has reopened.

The New Castle County Division of Police is currently on the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Delaware Park Drive and Kirkwood Highway.

As a result, Kirkwood Highway is reduced to one lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Motorists can expect delays in the area.

Please avoid this location if possible and consider using alternate routes.
