Police Issue Gold Alert for Missing Newark Man

New Castle County Police are currently searching for Stephen P. Smith, missing from his residence in the community of Meadowood.

(Newark, Del. – 19711) Today at about 6:00p.m., County Police responded to the unit block of Rockrose Dr for a report of a missing person.  Upon arrival, police made contact with family members of Stephen P. Smith who advised that about a half hour earlier Stephen P. Smith made statements via telephone that causes a concern for his welfare.

Stephen P. Smith was last seen at his residence at about 8:00a.m. this morning, when he left for work in Pilesgrove, NJ.

Stephen P. Smith is described as a 46-year-old white male, 5’10” tall, 230 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.  He may be operating a maroon 2004 Jeep Liberty displaying Delaware registration PC373114.
