Month-Long Drug Investigation Concludes with Arrest and Drug Seizure

New Castle County Police have arrested 26-year-old Antonio Montgomery for drug related charges, concluding a month-long investigation in the community of Hidden Creek Commons.

(Newark, Del.- 19713) During the month of December, 2016, Drug Control Squad (DCS) detectives initiated an investigation into heroin sales in the Hidden Creek Commons community.  Through the investigation, police were able to identify Antonio Montgomery as the suspected drug dealer and obtain a search warrant for his residence in the 100 block of Greenbridge Drive.

On Monday (Jan. 23), DCS detectives served the search warrant at Antonio Montgomery’s residence and took him into custody without incident- a child was also present in the residence.  During the search, police located 484 bags of heroin- with an estimated weight of 7.26 grams and approximate street value of $1,100, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Antonio Montgomery was charged with possession with intent to deliver a Tier-4 quantity of heroin, possession of heroin in a Tier-5 quantity, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was arraigned and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $51,002 secured bail.
