Police Investigate Attempted Kidnapping and Robbery at the Bluffs Apartments

New Castle County Police are currently on scene investigating an attempted kidnapping and robbery in the community of the Bluffs Apartments.

(Newark, Del. – 19711) This evening (March 6) at about 6:30p.m., County Police were dispatched to the area of Sheldon Dr in the Bluffs Apartments for a reported attempted kidnapping and robbery. Upon arrival police located the female victim who advised that she was approached by the suspect when she was walking to her apartment building. She described the suspect as a 5’7”- 5’8” tall average build man with his face covered, wearing dark clothing.  The victim advised that the suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money, and forced her to her apartment. When they arrived at the apartment, another adult resident answered the door and the suspect fled on foot.

This investigation is in the preliminary stages, but detectives believe it is the same suspect as the Top of the Hill and Arundel Apartments incidents.
