New Castle County Police have arrested 20-year-old Jessejames Hutchison, 24-year-old Brandon Veltre, 25-year-old James Schafferman and 22-year-old Allen Schafferman in connection with thefts from motor vehicles throughout New Castle County.
(Pike Creak, Del. 19808) On Thursday(August 17) New Castle County Police were dispatched to the communities of Deacons Walk and Red Mill Farms for multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles.
Police learned that credit cards were taken from the vehicles and used at various locations in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Elkton, MD. Surveillance video obtained from the stores provided police with a suspect vehicle description, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck.
On Saturday(August 19) patrol officers conducting property checks observed a white Dodge pickup matching the description in the area of Harmony Rd and Rt. 273. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Jessejames Hutchison of the 100 block of S. Maryland Ave., Brandon Veltre of the 100 block of S. Maryland Ave., James Schafferman of the 100 block of S. Maryland Ave. and Allen Schafferman of the 200 block of Hillview Ave. Evidence at the scene of the vehicle stop implicated all four suspects in the thefts from Deacons Walk and Red Mill Farms. All four suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the pickup truck. Additional evidence was located implicating them in the thefts from motor vehicles in the communities of Willow Run, Oak Hill, and Harmony Woods, reported to police on Friday(August 19).
JesseJames Hutchison was charged with a total of 42 charges to include second-degree burglary, felony conspiracy, unlawful use of a credit card and misdemeanor theft. He was arraigned and committed to The Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $16,500.00 cash only bail.
Brandon Veltre was charged with a total of 42 charges to include second-degree burglary, felony conspiracy, unlawful use of a credit card and misdemeanor theft. He was arraigned and committed to The Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $16,200.00 cash only bail.
James Schafferman was charged with a total of 42 charges to include second-degree burglary, felony conspiracy, unlawful use of a credit card and misdemeanor theft. He was arraigned and committed to The Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $16,700.00 cash only bail.
Allen Schafferman was charged with a total of 42 charges to include second-degree burglary, felony conspiracy, unlawful use of a credit card and misdemeanor theft. He was arraigned and committed to The Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $16,500.00 cash only bail.
