New Castle County Police Investigate Crash on Rt1

Earlier this morning officers from The New Castle County Police were dispatched to the area of Rt1 and the Toll Plaza for a single vehicle crash that involved a fully marked New Castle County Police Patrol Vehicle.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that the vehicle was resting on its side and the officer was conscious inside of the vehicle.  The officer was extracted from the vehicle by Emergency Medical Services and transported to a local hospital where he is expected to be treated and released.
