(Wilmington, DE 19809)   Yesterday, (Nov 25) at approximately 4:15 p.m. officers from the New Castle Divison of Police Patrol Division were dispatched to E. Salisbury Drive in the area of Bedford Drive, in the community of Edgemoor Gardens for a reported shooting.

Prior to the officers’ arrival, a 28-year-old victim had already been transported to a local hospital.  There he was treated for a single gunshot wound to an upper extremity and released.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
