POLICE INVESTIGATE MULTIPLE SHOOTINGS SATURDAY NIGHT

(Wilmington, DE 19809) Last night (April18) at 8:40 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to South Rodney Drive, in the community of Edgemoor for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.

When the officers arrived, they discovered two victims had suffered non-life threatening injuries.  One victim was a 15-year-old female who had been shot in the lower torso and the second was a 13-year-old male who had been shot in the leg.

Both victims were transported to local area hospitals for treatment.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

(Wilmington, DE 19808) At 11:25 p.m., patrol officers were also dispatched to a second shooting on the 2000 block of Pickwick Drive, in the community of Limestone Gardens.

When officers arrived at this scene, they located a 6-year-old victim who had been shot in his arm while inside of the residence.

The child was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury.

Additional detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed this investigation.
