You may have seen social media postings today that 911 was unavailable. Rest assured, you can call 911 and you will get through to an operator.

For a brief period this evening, across dozens of states, some cell carriers, and VoIP landlines had trouble connecting to 911. The issue has been resolved and you can call 911 if you have an emergency.

In the future, if you cannot get through to 911, remember you can always text to 911 or call the 911 center directly at 302-573-2800.
