Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating a shooting in the community of Gordon Heights.
Earlier today (October 9th) at approximately 6:00 P.M., Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the unit block of Haines Avenue, in the community of Gordon Heights, for a shooting that just occurred.
When the officers arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. New Castle County Paramedics arrived at the scene and quickly began administering life-saving efforts. The victim was then transported to a local area hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.
