(New Castle, DE 19720) The victims and families of our unsolved homicides are not forgotten and there are ongoing efforts by the New Castle County Division of Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit, Cold Case Squad, to bring about a resolution to each and every case. In an effort to refresh the community’s recollection and investigate every possible lead we will be posting again the information pertaining to each open case.
Almost six years ago, on Monday, February 16, 2015, at approximately 3:00 pm, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to a shooting at the Rose Hill Community Center.
When the officers arrived, they found one victim, 31-year-old Jamar Kilgoe suffering from a single gunshot wound. The officers, New Castle County Paramedics and other emergency medical personnel administered first aid, however Kilgoe died at the scene.
