(New Castle, DE 19720) Last Tuesday (Jun 1) patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the community of Castle Brook Apartments for the report of a suspicious male peeping into windows of a ground floor apartment.
According to the 26-year-old female victim, a black male subject was seen on surveillance footage walking onto their patio approximately 9 times from May 22nd through June 1st.
When the officers reviewed the surveillance footage, they saw a black male suspect standing on the patio.
The same suspect was seen sometimes looking into the small kitchen window that is also on the patio. He was then observed crouching down (out of camera view) and then crawls towards the sliding glass door. The victim also reported finding the screen door of the patio ajar on multiple occasions.
The officers collected the video and other evidence for processing and attempts were made to identify the suspect. The officers also set up increased random patrols in the complex.
Last night (Jun 3), at approximately 9:45 p.m., the victim contacted officers and stated that the suspect was again on the patio peeping through her sliding glass door. At 10:30 p.m. patrol officers were conducting a random patrol in the complex and located a suspicious black male in the area of the victim’s apartment. After briefly interviewing the subject the officers were able to determine that this person, 25-year-old Milck Green, was the suspect who had been peeping into the apartment.
Green was taken into custody and transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters where he was charged with one count of felony Stalking and eight counts of misdemeanor Trespassing with Intent to Peer or Peep.
He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $6,000 unsecured bail.
