POLICE ARREST MAN WITH 99 BAGS OF HEROIN

(New Castle, DE 19720) Yesterday (Jun 21), at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police Mobile Enforcement Team were conducting patrol in the communities along Rt 9. 

The officers observed a silver Acura parked behind one of the local businesses.  When the driver of the Acura saw the police cars he rapidly drove away.  The officers then conducted a vehicle stop and were able to contact the driver 37-year-old, Ricardo Comeger.

The officers asked Comeger to exit the vehicle and as he did, he sprinted away on foot crossing Rt 9.  The officers ran after him and a short time later were able to take him into custody.

The officer’s investigation then revealed that Comeger had in his possession 5.52 grams of marijuana, .38 grams of crack cocaine, and 99 bags of Heroin.

He was transported to New Castle County Police Headquarters and charged with one count felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, one count felony Resisting Arrest, one count misdemeanor Criminal Impersonation, one count misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance, one civil violation for the Possession of Marijuana and one traffic citation for illegal tint.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held in lieu of $13,202 cash bail. He was also arraigned on additional charges originating from Delaware State Police.
