(New Castle, DE 19720) Today (Oct 25), Colonel Joseph Bloch promoted multiple officers,  to the ranks of Captain, Lieutenant, and Sergeant.  

Senior Lieutenant Daniel Rogers was promoted to the rank of Captain.  Captain Rogers joined the New Castle County Division of Police in 2006 and has served in both the Uniform Patrol Division, and Criminal Investigations Unit.  He returned to both units as a supervisor.  He is currently the  Patrol Squad Commander for D squad.

Senior Sergeant Daniel Guzevich was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.  Lieutenant Guzevich joined the New Castle County Division of Police in 2002 and has served in both the Uniform Patrol Division and the Special Operations Section. He is currently a patrol sergeant for the Uniform Patrol Division. 

Senior Sergeant Brent Snyder was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.  Lieutenant Snyder joined the Division in 1997 and has served in the Uniform Patrol Division and remained as a patrol supervisor and is currently the team commander for the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team and the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team.

Master Corporal Andrea Botterbusch was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.  Sergeant Botterbusch joined the Division in 2006 and has served in the Uniform Patrol Division.  Currently, she is assigned to the Research, Accreditation, Media, and Policy Unit. 

Senior Corporal Tyler Shears was also promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Shears joined the Division in 2010 and has served in the Uniform Patrol Division.  Currently, he is assigned to the Professional Development Unit as Academy Staff.

A formal promotional ceremony will be scheduled in the near future.
