GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING NEWARK MAN – DAVID CERNOS (32)

(Newark, DE 19711) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for David Cernos, a 32-year-old man from Newark. On Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 7:07 p.m., David left his residence after making statements that caused concern for his safety. Officers responded to the area however, all efforts to locate and contact David were unsuccessful.

David is described as a white male, 6’00” tall, 175 pounds, medium build. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.

COLD CASE REVIEW – LAURIAN CUFFY (2010)

(New Castle, DE 19720) The victims and families of our unsolved homicides are not forgotten and there are ongoing efforts by the New Castle County Division of Police and the Criminal Investigation Unit Cold Case Squad, to bring about a resolution to each case.  To refresh the community’s recollection and investigate every possible lead, we will post the information about open cases again.

On March 23, 2010, at 11:45 p.m. Officers with the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the community of Garfield Park – New Castle regarding a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival, the victim, Laurian Cuffy (21) was found lying on the ground near a residence on Chase Avenue and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

NEW CASTLE COUNTY DIVISION OF POLICE SEEKS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A PACKAGE THEFT SUSPECT

(Wilmington, DE 19808) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police are currently searching for a suspect observed in surveillance footage removing a package from a residence in the Milltown Village community.

Officers contacted the victim who reported having a package stolen from his residence. A Ring camera for the home captured the theft.
