GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING WOMAN-DAWN FITZHARRIS

UPDATE DESCRIPTION: Dawn was last seen on Ring camera footage leaving the residence wearing camouflage overalls, a white cutoff jean jacket, and white sneakers, while carrying a light green backpack.

The New Castle County Division of Police is requesting the public’s assistance in reviewing Ring camera footage recorded between 2:40 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, the 15th, for any sightings of Dawn or related activity.

(Newark, DE 19711) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 55-year-old Dawn Fitzharris.

Fitzharris was last seen near the unit block of Cordele Road, Newark, around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026. Despite extensive efforts, officers have been unable to locate or contact Fitzharris, and there is concern for her health and safety.

Fitzharris is described as a white female, 5’8” tall and 140 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a maroon hoodie.

Anyone with information regarding Fitzharris’ whereabouts is urged to contact the New Castle County Police Department at (302) 573-2800 or call 911 immediately.

FOUR OFFICERS RECOGNIZED AT 2025 MADD LAW ENFORCEMENT AWARDS CEREMONY

(New Castle, DE 19720) On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police, along with officers from other Delaware agencies, were recognized at the 2025 MADD Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony.

Presented by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), this annual ceremony honors the outstanding dedication of law enforcement officers who go above and beyond to combat impaired driving and keep our roads safe.

We are incredibly proud of our 2025 NCCPD recipients — OFC Kiser, OFC Iuliano, OFC Dvorak, and OFC Belk — for their hard work and commitment to this vital mission.

A special congratulations goes to OFC Belk, who received the MADD Lifetime Achievement Award as a four-time recipient, and the Leadership & Teaching Award for his continued efforts to educate others about impaired driving.
