INVESTIGATION UPDATE – ASSAULT AT GLASGOW PARK – ARREST MADE

(Newark, DE 19702) Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police have arrested three suspects following an investigation into the assault at Glasgow Park. On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Patrol Officers responded to Glasgow Park – Newark in reference to an assault that just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an adult male victim. The victim reported that he was at the park when he was randomly assaulted and robbed by multiple male suspects.

Detectives later assumed the investigation. Through investigative measures and follow-up interviews, Detectives were able to identify three separate suspects. The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Gregory Brown of Newark, a 15-year-old male from Newark, and a 15-year-old male from New Castle.

Detectives confirmed that the incident was a random, unprovoked assault/robbery. All three suspects were later taken into custody without incident.

Gregory Brown was charged with one felony count of robbery in the first degree, one count of wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, and one misdemeanor count of assault in the third degree. He was arraigned by the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and later released after posting $48,000.00 secured bail.

The 15-year-old male from Newark was charged with one felony count of robbery in the first degree, one count of wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, one felony count of conspiracy in the second degree, and one misdemeanor count of assault in the third degree. He was arraigned by New Castle County Family Court and was released without bail.

(Newark, DE 19713) The New Castle County Division of Police invites you to participate in the 40th annual National Night Out (NNO).

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING NEWARK MAN – ROBERT HADLEY (32)

(Newark, DE 19713) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 32-year-old Robert Hadley of Newark. On today’s date, Robert sent text messages that caused concern for his welfare. All efforts to locate and contact Robert have been unsuccessful and there is a concern for his health and safety.

Robert is described as a white male, 6’2″, 135 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants.
