POLICE INVESTIGATE MULTIPLE THEFTS FROM VEHICLES IN CLAYMONT

(Claymont, DE 19703) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police are currently investigating multiple thefts and criminal mischiefs in Claymont. Earlier this morning, officers were dispatched to multiple incidents in the communities of Darley Green, Naamans apartments, Woodstream Garden apartments, and Woodacre apartments. Multiple victims either found property missing from their cars or their vehicle windows damaged. The incidents occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. and are still being reported at this time.

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IN SUMMER HILL-NEWARK

On Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 5:58 p.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of Fern Court for a shooting that had just occurred. While enroute, officers were provided with a description of a suspect who was seen running from the scene. Upon arrival, officers were able to apprehend an individual who matched the description provided.

The male was identified as 26-year-old, Ammanuel Falice of Newark. He was found to be in possession of a firearm and a loaded magazine. Ammanuel was transported to the New Castle County Police headquarters. While examining evidence at the scene of the shooting, police located a residence that had been struck by gunfire.

Ammanuel was charged with one count of felony reckless endangering in the first degree, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and criminal mischief. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $65,500 cash bail.
